New Kadampa Tradition Buddhist meditation is coming to Orange Park beginning next week.
Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Center is launching the sessions beginning Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the solar building behind The Granary, 1738 Kingsley Ave. Meditation sessions will be offered by teacher Liana Dawson, and everyone is welcome.
Participants will learn to overcome negativity and increase love and compassion, according to a news release. Classes will also teach basic breathing-meditation techniques, guided meditation and teachings on achieving inner peace.

to confirm dates. The normal donation requested is $9 ($5 for students), but Tuesday’s introductory class is free.
